SIG has its main factory in Gorla Minore (Varese), Northern Italy. In 1997, thanks to its production international traits, SIG chose the LLOYDS Register Certification.
UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certification was obtained in 2003.
The company is an important presence in the field of bulk industrial handling and in the sector of snowmobiles for ski facilities; it offers also a huge range of products for cement, steel, chemical and mining sectors and for all the advanced industrial fields, which need materials' conveying.

Steel and textile carcass rubber conveyor belts are important branches of the range of products, whose essential characteristics are:

•     Maximum widths: 2200mm

•     Tensile strength till 3500N/m

•     Abrasion resistant covers, self-extinguish, oil resistant, and heat resistant covers, and covers resistant to chemical effects.

The production department covers about 12.000mq and uses 10 different manufacturing lines that include calanders, vulcanising presses, mobile cranes and forklifts able to handle rolls of more than 35000kg and with diameters of more than 3,5m.
Particularly important is the research and development laboratory, which, in the last years, has planned and realized innovative and original products suitable for all the industrial fields.
New products' development, whose realization is possible in factories with experience and technical know-how in particular, has made competitiveness and results to grow up and this allows SIG SpA to be an important reference point in special handling products field, both in Italy and all over the world.
