Automatic slab tong

The Automatic Horizontal Coil Tong is designed to lift coils in a horizontal position.
The tongs are robustly engineered for heavy duty application to meet the severe demands of steel- and aluminium rolling mills.

The crane operator controls the entire lifting process from the crane cabin, by placing the tong above the center of the coil. 
By raising the coil, the gripping arms close automatically. The electrical circuit to the control box is carried out by plug-in connection. This enables quick removal of the tong from the crane.
The suspension assembly is designed to accommodate standard crane hooks. 
The standard suspension is fixed by a pull pin. Customized suspensions on request.

The Hydraulic Horizontal Coil Tong type is designed to lift coils in a horizontal position. 
The tongs are robustly engineered for heavy duty application to meet the severe demands of steel- and aluminium rolling mills.

The crane operator controls the entire lifting process from the crane cabin. The tog is operated by a hydraulic system mounted on the tong. 
The electrical circuit to the control box is carried out by plug-in connection. This enables quick removal of the tong from the crane. Safety is guaranteed by the self-closing tong mechanism and the shear effect proportional to the load’s weight. 
The suspension assembly is designed to accommodate standard crane hooks. The standard suspension is fixed by pull pins. Customized suspensions on request.

The tongs are robustly engineered for heavy duty application to meet the severe demands of steel- and aluminium rolling mills.

The crane operator controls the entire lifting process of the motorized horizontal coil tong from the crane cabin. The tong is operated by a three-phase gear motor and a mechanical transmission. Physical Safety is guaranteed by the self-closing tong mechanism and the shear effect proportional to the load’s weight.

The Motorized Tong for Coil on Palettes is designed to lift coils in a vertical position on a palette. 
The tongs are robustly engineered for heavy duty application to meet the severe demands of steel- and aluminium rolling mills.

The crane operator controls the entire lifting process from the crane cabin. The palette is grabbed and lifted by its supporting shoes. 
The tong is operated by a three-phase gear motor and rack and pinion transmission. The electrical circuit to the control box is carried out by plug-in connection. This enables quick removal of the tong from the crane.
The suspension assembly is designed to accommodate standard crane hooks. The standard suspension is fixed by pull pins. Customized suspensions on request.

The Motorized Horizontal Coil Tong Hot is designed to lift hot coils in a horizontal position. 

Special heat resistant components such as electrical cables and switches in ceramic or duroplast, mounted in a special developed steel box, allow operating the equipment for hot coils up to max. 900°C and maximum ambient temperature up to 700°C. A welded open tong frame allows fast cooling of the tong during return cycle to pick up new coils. 
The electrical circuit to the control box is carried out by plug-in connection with heat-resistant components. This enables quick removal of the tong from the crane.
