WATER CYCLE

M.M. fibreglass products can be widely used in water cycle plants characterized by the presence of chlorine, humidity, low temperatures and sudden changes in temperature. As a matter of fact, they can be used to build structures, such as water intake and water treatment structures (in plants where water is treated and rendered suitable for human use), water distribution structures (waste pipes, vents, hydraulic interruption or disconnection, storage works, elevated or underground passages), structures for urban tanks and distribution works. M.M. products are also used for walking surfaces, gangways, parapets, ladders (inclined and vertical), enclosures, gates. M.M. gratings, which are classified as excellent insulators according to the 61340-2.3 and the IEC 61340-4-5 electrical safety standards, can ensure adequate electrical safety. M.M. gratings are manufactured according to the DIN 24537-3 standard and can be supplied in a slip resistant version according to the DIN 51130 standard. To guarantee operators’ safety, M.M. also supplies parapets, which are mandatory for works at height and in the proximity of basins. Furthermore, elevated walkways with micromesh or “heel proof” gratings complying with the most stringent EU regulations can be provided. All M.M. products are manufactured according to UNI EN ISO 14122 – 1,2,3,4, standards and Legislative Decree 81/2008 on safety in the workplace. M.M. provides CE-marked ladders for inspection chambers in compliance with the UNI EN 14396 standard. M.M. also provides ladders that can be used for waterworks, in direct contact with drinking water; they are ACS-certified (“Attestation de conformité sanitaire” – French official certification issued by the French Directorate General for Health).
