GALVANIC INDUSTRY

Automatic slab tong

M.M. fibreglass gratings and structures have many uses in the galvanic industry which encompasses chemical and electrochemical surface treatment processes aimed at increasing the resistance of treated objects to corrosion and friction, enhancing their electrical and thermal conductivity, making them rust-proof at high temperatures or improving their appearance. The line of high chemical resistance gratings by M.M. is characterized by the use of pure, additive-free, isophthalic and vinylester resins and a higher amount of resins compared to standard gratings in order to ensure total coverage of fibreglass. The M.M. high chemical resistance products are designed to resist to most acids and bases. They are especially designed for applications in chemically aggressive environments, such as the galvanic industry, support structures such as walking surfaces, gangways, ladders and enclosures, as well as special applications for equipment and machinery. In order to guarantee maximum safety, M.M. can supply products with excellent flame resistance in compliance with EN13501, ASTM E84, ASTM D635, DIN 4102, NFP 92-507 standards. Conductive and antistatic/dissipative gratings are also available; they are especially designed for ATEX areas. M.M. gratings are manufactured according to the DIN 24537-3 standard and can be supplied in a slip resistant version according to the DIN 51130 standard. Micromesh or “heel proof” elevated walkways are constructed according to the most stringent EU regulations. To guarantee operators’ safety, M.M. also supplies parapets. All M.M. products are manufactured according to UNI EN ISO 14122 – 1,2,3,4, standards and Legislative Decree 81/2008 on safety in the workplace.
